In this course we will explore the geographic and cultural landscape of Canada by examining Canadian regional geography, the Aboriginal communities which inhabited the various regions of Canada, the founding of New France, and the conquest of British North America.  In Term 2 we will then switch our focus to Europe and explore the political and economic changes of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries and examine how revolution, nationalism and industrialization have shaped the world in which we now live.
