Social Studies 11

Socials 11 is a study of Canadian History from pre World War I to the present. Special emphasis is placed upon the structure of the Canadian Government, the development of Canadian independence, Quebec in Canada, Canada’s role in world conflicts, and the problems of a multinational and a bilingual society. Also, the course will cover Canada’s relations with the rest of the world and study global concerns such as population growth, the distribution of resources, and the impact of industrialization and technology on contemporary society.
